Henderson Settlement is located in Frakes, KY – the poorest county in Kentucky. Volunteer work teams and individuals come together to repair the homes of the residents in this Kentucky/Tennessee area. Volunteers select the repair projects, raise the money, and complete the projects within their abilities. Home repairs can range from building a ramp, replacing windows, doors, and siding, installing new kitchen cabinets, or installing metal roofing. People who prefer to stay on campus find volunteer opportunities in the thrift store, helping with the infant and young mother program, food pantry, and senior program.
