Pillars works to meet the unique needs of specific populations including families fleeing domestic violence, young adults with mental health challenges, veterans and individuals experiencing chronic homelessness. Supportive Housing within Pillars has the goal of more permanent housing and reducing homelessness through direct support and case management and typically provides over 150 safe, affordable homes, rental units, and single residency housing in the Fox Valley. First Congregational UCC provides meals at Pillars Family Shelter the 1st Sunday of every month, and the Pillars Adult Shelter the 1st Thursday of every month. In the winter of 2025, our Economic Justice Work Group organized a special fundraising project to benefit Pillars, presenting the organization with more than $30,000 to support it’s Winter Shelter Overflow Program.
