Originally from metro Detroit, Vince Salvia grew up in rural Wisconsin and has lived most of his life in the Appleton area, graduating from Xavier High School and Lawrence University. After a 30-year business career, most recently as chief financial officer and co-owner of a local company, he felt called to use his abilities and experience in a professional capacity for a nonprofit organization. In addition to his professional experience, Vince has served since 2014 as treasurer and as a member of the board of trustees for his home congregation. The transition to the business director role with First Congregational has felt very natural. Vince and his wife Sarah have been married since 2008 and have two teenage children. Additionally he has two adult children from his first marriage, both of whom also work for local nonprofits. Beyond being a dad, Vince enjoys reading, cooking, studying languages, playing piano and mandolin, and practicing yoga and tai chi. Vince is excited to join the First Congregational staff and looks forward to working with the team to serve the church and the wider community.
